Hey all...wanted to implore everyone to take it easy this weekend, watch out for the idiots on the roads, and try to get some R&R in if you can.

I'll be in Estes Park (surprise) for 4 wonderful, glorious, mountainous (sp?) days. A big group of us will fill the hills with music and laughter... Just bought hubby a Moran, he is very anxious to use it to death in the hills. He was getting ready for work this morning and I heard him in the bathroom talking to himself in the mirror about "You don't mess with Dan and old Billy" (Moran, I assume...) What a kook.

I'll be here until 3:00 MDT today, if anyone needs anything.
Danelle

What are YOU all doing this weekend?

Can you say barbecue, barbecue, barbecue?

Maybe a trip to the zoo for the little one as well....we'll see...."Kaitlin leave the cat alone, Kaitlin, quit playing in the laundry room"....ah kids, don't you just love 'em.

Have a safe one everybody and God bless you all.

Danelle, my wife and I are visiting some family in CO this fall and they're already planning to take us to Estes for a weekend, you're making me jealous.

Clay, yes, this is a good weekend to get out of Indy, isn't it? A friend of mine has several friends and family in the Indy area, and they all leave during race weekend, and surprisingly, most of them still watch it on TV. Just don't want to deal with the crowds and stuff. PS. Love the Asp! Even my wife thinks it has alot of "play value". Go figure!

Have a fun and safe weekend everybody! I'm participating in our annual mountain bike myocardial infarction-fest death ride, so it's been great knowing you all!

Thanks for the wishes Danelle. This weekend is the biggest weekend of the year for Kodiak. It's our annual Crab Festival (OK...no comments
wink.gif
). Usually I'm not on the island this weekend due to a conference for my job but I will be around this weekend and we plan on going to the festival and watch the hills to see if the grass is turning green. The Bears are out so we'll leave them guys alone---they require a wide berth. The Dolly Varden are biting, too, so we'll wet a few fishing lines and go after them, too.

Everyone have a safe weekend and see you all next week.

Clay: Drive safe, bud. I was hoping you'd get that Dragonfly before you left.

Well, here is 'lovely' southern Maryland, at Patuxent River NAS, we having our air show on Saturday. As I sit here writing this, I can hear the 'warbirds' practicing for their show tomorrow. Also, Blue Angels are performing, along with Manfred Radius (aerobatic glider), Patty Wagstaff (aerobatic monoplane performer and champion), and a few others. So, Saturday is going to be pretty full. Sunday will be church and recovery from Saturday.

Don -- Glad you like the ASP. And I saw from another post re: Trace Rinaldi that you still have your Taipan and are happy with it. I am glad
smile.gif
Enjoy your biking. I wish we were taking the bikes with us, but there really isn't room or time enough for them.

Next time. Guess we'll just hafta hoof it around them hills...

Greg -- Maybe the DF will be here before I leave. Thanks much for it! Did you get the boys' gifts yet? I am glad there will be a PA present at the Crab Festival. Be sure to take lots of Topical Creme to Quell (
wink.gif
) the crowds. (Sorry, couldn't pass that one up -- just don't ask me how I knew that

)

Ah, you're in the land of Dolly Varden and I am travelling to the land of Dolly Pardon. It's like we are the same person in different dimensions. Like something off of Star Trek. Maybe you are my evil twin who likes serrations and tanto points. HA! LOL

Danelle, Enjoy your trip. I went through Estes Park on the way to RMNP last July. A friend of mine moved to Denver and I helped him move and stayed there for a few days. weather was terrible. First time I had seen the Rockies. That's the farthest west I have ever been. Man, that altitude sickness was something -- and it was almost exactly a year since I was treated for Decompression Sickness! Maybe I should just stay on the level plains of Indiana. LOL. Yeah, right!

Sorry for the long post. Getting giddy about 5 days off of work! Have a fun, safe weekend everyone!

Thanks Danelle, hope you do have a great holiday weekend. As far as R&R goes for me, still have to work my part time job Sat. & Sun., but I am off all day Monday from both jobs! YES !

Monday, spending the day with my family and inlaws after the morning services and parade up at our local park. Then, eat, eat, eat!

I'll be using my Spyderco Wegner to cut my steak with, too!

Thanks for the good thoughts, Danelle. Like you, we'll be in the great outdoors. I'm hoping for the right balance of cold beer, campfires, hungry fish, and -- of course -- some hammock time.

Enjoy all!!

There's a weekend retreat going on, so we'll be doing a little entertaining for the dinner on Saturday. I've also got some sidework to do.

And, of course, I'll be going on the death ride that DonL mentioned. Heck, someone has to be able to carry the wounded out
wink.gif
. Medivac will be on-call. The only question is; Don weighs about 155 and his titanium mountain bike weighs 25, which should I carry out? Quelle decision...

I just WISH I had a Spydie-Wrench to take with me!

The wife and I have to trek down to The University of Delaware to lug our daughter and all her possessions home for the summer tomorrow, always a drudge, two vehicles and two and a half hours each way.

At least we go to my best friend's place Monday for a BBQ.

Hey Paul, I'll be at Taste of Cincinnati too! I live out here in Amelia and work in Florence. Hope you and everyone else here has a Great time doing whatever this weekend!

~Keith~

Have a good time Danelle and the rest of you guys too. I'll be riding both bikes (road & mtn) all weekend and getting in a little fishing too. There are rumors of frosty malted beverages too. Be safe all.

Clay, I just want to remind you who first got me interested in Tantos? Can you say Cold Steel Large Voyager?

Who was that who sent me that knife?

Work some DUI OT... even us desk jocks like to play cop! BBQ, ride the scooter, BBQ, shoot, BBQ!!! Be safe all! Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Ahhh... Memorial Day weekend in Charlotte. That means it's the end of two great weeks of NASCAR activities down here. It all culminates with the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday evening under the lights. Look for me among the crowd of 150,000+ - I'll be the one in shorts with a cold beverage in hand.

Special mention to driver Tony Stewart. He's running in the Indianapolis 500 early in the day, then hopping a (fast) plane to Charlotte for the 600. 1100 miles of racing in one day. Whew, glad it's not me.

I hope everybody has a great holiday weekend. Stay safe.

Hi,
Just a normal weekend and then Monday I'll go visit some old friends that I haven't seen in a very long time at Fort Snelling N.C. I pray that some day we might meet again when there's no tree-lines to watch and no mud to sleep in.
Simper Fi,
Dan

Ron, it goes like this. My knives are bequeathed to you in my will (well, except for the Sebenza, H-lette has dibs). You cannot subject a claim against a will without a body to prove my passing. Let someone else carry the bike, I hope your back is strong. The Marines don't leave anybody behind, neither should you!
