Have anything new?

I had to bring this thread back up because I'm pretty excited about my latest find. I just got back from the local Rural King where I found a SLW2 marked down to $15. I thought I had wiped them out the last time I went but apparently not. It's kind of slow to open though so I was wondering if that was typical of these.

Also I was wondering if the SS 30 BK420 posted earlier is a 3rd gen.

Good find on the SLW2 cykc, mine came in the other day and it also was a little stiffer than the SLW1. I put a couple drops of 3in1 oil on the joint and it help to free it up a good bit.

Dale, I was going to go on and say that you were right it is all in the blade. Besides the serration there is an obvious difference in the blade steel. The Bg42 has a nice mirror finish but the stainless seems to be sharper out of the box. I would agree with some of the earlier reviews that they are not ambidextrous. Being a lefty I can hardly open them with my left hand but both open smoothly with the right. The lock for the lock is a little tricky to use but you really wouldn't need for the average cutting job. there may be some difference in the hardware buy I can't say for sure. I'll and a pic if I can soon.
