I am in the process of building a heat treat oven and am looking for someone that may have ~ 40ft of AWG 16 KANTHAL A-1 they may want to sell. Most places have a minimum order of $50 so I figured some of you may have ordered more wire than you need. Let me know if you have spare using up space that you would like to sell.

Also, if there are other people that are interested in building a heat treat oven, I can get 222ft of AWG 16 KANTHAL A-1 for $50 + $15 respool fee from Hyndman Industrial Products, Inc. If I do not find someone that wants to sell a small amount, I'd like to go in with several people on the $50 + $15 purchase.

How about an Email address in your profile so we can work something out!
PM me and we can get this rolling.

I had to buy the $50 spool too (from resistancewire.com). It will last me
a lifetime, so it is a fairly good deal. You won't be able to get a spiral for less than $20 and then there will S&H, for something like $25 total. So for $40 more
you're getting all the spirals you'll ever need l. you will need 2nd and 3rd spiral sooner than you think :) . So when you order your 2nd, you'd be breaking even and past that point, loosing money compared to getting your own wire in the beginning.

Hello Robert, I've updated my profile to include e-mail address. Thanks!

Hello rashid11, I see your point but even half that amount would last me a really long time. Just trying to keep the shop from holding alot of extra stuff. ;) Thanks for the good advise.

Hello rashid11, I've seen many of your posts out there regarding building HT Ovens. I am planning on using the following -> PID TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER W/ 30 RAMP / SOAK, KILN off of ebay for $89 http://auberins.com/index.php?main_...s_id=4&zenid=8dbff29efc6bef292530721374de9f57 . I've not found any cheaper that have the ramp/soak feature. Your sample links had examples of $30 PIDs that did not perform ramp/soak steps that I could find. Is there a better controller than the one I selected that performs the same features? Thanks!
