Have I been doing it wrong?

It is important to protect things against knives. Think about Tom Sawyer. But I would not carry a frog in my pocket.

I have done that, too! All boys had frogs, snakes, or lizards in their pockets when I was a kid. Once, our maid was going through my pockets prior to washing clothes and pulled out a snake. She screamed so loudly the neighbors ran over thinking she was being murdered! They found her fainted on the floor still holding that snake! HaHaHaHa!

Frogs I have had in my pocket numerous times, too. They are great things to scare the girls or to slip down a girl's back so she knows you like her! HaHaHa!

Reminds me of this...
'course I never did anything like it. Preston

We have visited this subject in past, will see if I can find thread with search function.

I use both a thin leather slip attached to my belt that hangs in the front pocket along the hem side, attachment to belt with both braided leather and braided super fishing line, three strands of 35 lb line is almost invisible. Use your old boy scout skills to braid. I have sewn a few slots in my front pocket to slip a knife in also along the hem side of the pocket. I have used small brass safety pins to make a slot in a front pocket also and they work and wash well, if you pinch down the head of the pin over the point they don't come undone. They don't seem to rust either. Being a "you can do anything" man I was told, either I had to sew the pockets myself or use the safety pins. She at least takes my pants to a sewing lady to hem. 300
