How much I appreatiate you all and this place?

I came very late in life to the world of computers, and my Karen got one and taught me how to get online. This place was one of the first I found. Then of course I branched out. Gun forums, motorcycle forums, survival forums, what ever.

Now I'm back down to only two forums I bother going to at all. The amount of out and out insanity, stupiditiy, ego's, and other factors, I don't bother much with the computer anymore. I had a nice life before it, I don't need to frustrate my self trying to communicate with idiots.

Then there's this place.

Nice people, great moderators, polite behavior, good things to talk about. This forum is about the only thing I bother to get online for anymore. I guess if I had to pick a bunch of people to be stranded in a cabin durring a winter blizzard, and hang a beat up old coffee pot by the fire, it would be you guys.

Like they said in the old days; you'll do to go down the trail with.

Great place.

Amen, brother. Through work, I spend a lot of time online. And this little folksy nook is about the most civil, welcoming, interesting and FUN spots on the web.

It means a lot when you say that.

I'm glad that I found this forum. Best people I ever met on the Internet.

This is the old time General store on the internet. You go here, pull up a crate, talk, and listen, even if you dont buy anything - a great place indeed.

Funny that you are the one to appreciate this place. Your stories hooked me. Next thing I know I have 2 peanuts, a stockman, cannitler, baby butterbean, sodbuster......

I really do find this subforum to be the best place I have ever been online. I'd like to thank everyone also. I don't post alot, I'm a big lurker. I visit this area twice a day normally.

Very true jackknife! This and email are the reasons I get online for other than work. I think it is safe to say that you carry the banner of all that you said about the members. This truly a home away from home.

Good morning Jackknife. You sure do your part to make this forum the nice place that it is so I say thank you to you as well. There are alot of good people that hang out here and I am proud to be a small part of this forum. This forum is really more about the people than it is the knives in a way.

Amen. You're stories have gotten me hooked and I have since returned to the traditional forum every time thanks to this great bunch of people.

Agreed, this is a forum of common sense people that still understand the meaning of respect and courtesy. Sure do get to see some neat knives as well.

Well said jackknife. I'm proud to walk the trail with the folks around here.

Nice thread Jackknife. I'm glad I stumbled on this place too. It's a joy sharing stories and interests with like minded people who are friendly and respectful. Thank you to all you traditional folks who make this place what it is.

Just another:thumbup: to what has aready been stated several times.:D

I came to the BF.com for the Schrade collectors forum and find myself here as much if not more ;) This place is KINDA addicting in a good way! All the great knives and banter around the coffee pot ER UH knives Etc. is great.

Just because of the folks that hang here, we love your stories Jackknife, thanks to Blues and Gus for keeping the tone of the forum as it is.

Just another fan,

Thanks to you all for the kind comments. And jackknife, I'm sure you know that we're proud to have you here as we are all of you that make this forum the special place it is.

Gus and I have a pretty easy job in this forum for the most part and it wouldn't be possible if not for the willingness to share and treat each other as friends that is the norm here rather than the exception.

Thanks guys! :cool::thumbup:

Dear Jackknife
I seem to spend most of my time in this forum, along with a British one, they are the 2 places where discussion and sense seem to be the order of the day.
Your stories give a warm glow to the day, reading them makes me imagine the simple life in parts of the USA.
Please keep writing it makes my day

Take care
Graham

P.S. Think I have found you at the other place;)
