Have I told you guys...

Jackknife, What you posted means a lot to many here. As far as I am concerned the credit for the atmosphere here goes to the people who participate and perpetuate the friendships and respect that has grown. I wander in here often just for a respite from the antics of other venues.

This place actually reflects the reality of the knife world I have experienced in "real life" and that is because of the people who participate here.

With the Blade Show just a little over a couple of months away, I very much look forward to meeting as many people that come here as possible to thank them and get to know them better.

Yup. Best place on the web, and your contributions are one of the things that make it that way.

im with you on this one Jackknife, not the coming into computers late and all, but how this is one of the few places worth going to. People here are actually nice and care, and you exemplify that especially. I know we are all grateful to have you hear with us too.

You are so right about the obnoxious behaviour and downright psychotic insanity you can encounter on line. It's all so unnecessary and depressing too.

Here common decency prevails, a lot of support and encouragement and when people disagree or have divergent experiences, they do so respectfully and sincerely. Greetings to you all, W.

How much I appreatiate you all and this place?

I came very late in life to the world of computers, and my Karen got one and taught me how to get online. This place was one of the first I found. Then of course I branched out. Gun forums, motorcycle forums, survival forums, what ever.

Now I'm back down to only two forums I bother going to at all. The amount of out and out insanity, stupiditiy, ego's, and other factors, I don't bother much with the computer anymore. I had a nice life before it, I don't need to frustrate my self trying to communicate with idiots.

Then there's this place.

Nice people, great moderators, polite behavior, good things to talk about. This forum is about the only thing I bother to get online for anymore. I guess if I had to pick a bunch of people to be stranded in a cabin durring a winter blizzard, and hang a beat up old coffee pot by the fire, it would be you guys.

Like they said in the old days; you'll do to go down the trail with.

Great place.

Thank You for your great stories. I know I speak for probably just about everyone if I say,we look forward to the next & going back to the "sticky" occasionally,to re read

So this appreciation is welcomed & mutual,Thank You jackknife,
-Vince

I enjoy your stories as well. And this is the best forum on the web,bar none.

This is my favorite hang out on the misinformation highway, well this and a couple of political sites.

Your part of what makes this place great, jacknife, we all leave a little piece of ourselves here and what you leave here is a Legacy of an almost forgotten time.

Your stories not only entertain but also educate, so thank you sir for all you leave in you wake.:D

The feeling is mutual Jackknife. We appreciate your input very much.
One of the best things I ever heard a man say about a friend of his was at his funeral. He said "I rode with him, got no complaints"

Thank you Jackknife, your stories reming me of a simpler time and make me yearn for the "good ole' days".

The mods do an excellant job of keeping this second home of mine in great shape, thanks guys. This is the best knife forum out there, and the best sub-forum of the greastest forum. I am glad that this site is supported by its members and not by advertisers like everything else now days. It just keeps everything uncluttered and easy to cruise, best $25 a year I will ever spend.

I've said it before as have others, Its more than just the knives ..

Down to earth people, people that still believe a handshake is as good as gold, and a mans word can be taken as gospel ... In todays society, it truly is a rare thing to meet people like that. This little subforum is full of people like this, and I am thankful to have found it. Even though I have never met anyone here in person, I still consider a lot of folks here my friends ...

In my quest for simplifying life, I have recently downsized my collection dramatically. The other factor for me was that work has slowed down. It wasn't necessary for financial reasons, but when things are slow, I don't feel right owning an excess of material things. In the end I can honestly say I haven't missed the knives....

I guess in a long winded way, even though the knives are less of a focus in my life now, I still enjoy comin here. I know that most folks here I would enjoy sharing a campfire with or sittin on a river bank having a cold one and drowning a worm .

I have not been a lot of places of internet but this is a good place indeed. I looked aroud alot here but nowadays puts 90% of my time at this traditional subforum. It suits me as a glove. Very nice people and a friendly atmosphere. Im sure I would enjoy nature togeter with a great many of you also in real life. And a little special thanks to you yourself jackknife for your stories and your mature thoughts about people-knifes.
