Found myself a nice, old Marlin Golden 39A lever action 22 at the Indy gun show a few weeks ago and need a good scope for it. Don't want a cheap, skinny 22 scope, I want a full size(but, not some hugongous target or varmint scope either). Maybe a 1.5 x 5.5 or a 2 x7? Leopold, Nikon, Burris, etc... No Tascos or cheapo brands.

Just as a matter of interest, my local FFL has for sale a real piece of mail order Americana - a JC Penny's-marked Marlin 336 with the scope which would have accompanied the gun from the catalog. I don't need another 336 or I would have bought it, just for the cool-factor
