PENDING TRADE
I have a jungle green coated new style MOAB with magnum black canvas scales, which have the
fusion pattern in them (rather then the hand finished scales which are smooth). The fusion cnc
pattern has had the sharp points smoothed down (custom shop) so that it doesn't bite into the
hand, but it leaves enough texture to give a gripping surface.
It doesn't get any bigger then this in the realm of busse, and probably won't for some time. The
balance point is 3" in front of the index finger, and it weighs a mighty 2lbs 12.2oz. if your into big
knives, it is directly comparable to a 1/2" thick heavy 20" ang khola. While it may seem way to
big and over the top, the more you have it in your hand, the less crazy it seems, and the stronger
your forearm gets.
I tapped the edge on a pine 2x4 to get a feel for the handle, it is otherwise unused. the test didn't
effect the coating or edge at all, as it is it's in factory condition.
Specs:
Overall length: 20.5"
cutting edge length: 13.75"
Weight: 2lbs 12.2oz
Thickness at pommel: .410"
Thickness at center of blade: .380"
Thickness of metal directly behind cutting edge at tip: .090"
Thickness of metal directly behind cutting edge at center of blade: .080"
Thickness of handle at center swell: 1.155"
Thickness of handle at index finger: .895"
The blade tapers down to the tip starting 6.5" from the tip.
Why am I trading it? at first I didn't like the mag handles, but after a week and a half of holding it
and swinging it through the air, I don't mind them nearly as much. It comes down to me being poor,
working 30 hours a week while going to school full time. I've been on the edge of financial ruin for
about 2 years now, and I really can't rationalize having anything this expensive when bills are so
close to being unpaid. It's a truly awesome blade that's worth every penny, if you have the penny's
for it.
I'm gonna open this trade up to see if I can do it in less time then what I'm seeing for high end
rare busse's these days. If you can come up with a -reasonable- package of busse blades (willing
to consider swamp rat/scrap yard) to trade for this, I'd be interested in hearing your set. I'm not
interested in super rare knives like argonne assaults or NMOASH's since those are just as hard to
move as the moab. I'm looking for base models that are easy to transfer elsewhere. The stuff I
asked for below (in gray) is still wanted, it's just unlikely that I could get those in by themselves
in a way I'd be willing to trade.
What I want is a NMFBM. I don't really care what color or scales or whether it
has a sheath or not. used or unused is also not important, as long as it's in good enough condition
to use. I don't want to have to claim the warranty on it to get it fixed.
and/or a panasonic lx3 digital camera. not interested in any other camera, gotta be that one. If
you have a nmfbm and an lx3 your looking to part with, even better.
I've got all the time in the world for this, so reasonable offers only please. If you have any questions,
feel free to ask:
