Plenty of reviews online, just thought I'd add my 2 cents and a recommendation for the Pheer 327 and Jose.

If you build a bench, you may want to wait till you recieve your grinder...I'm tall so it worked out for me...

All the parts and directions were clear, no issues

The only tool needed besides your drill....square and level always works.

No problems, motor connections were color coded for dummies.....I used the ground on the back of my gas meter and used a copper ground bar.
I will figure out a cover to keep my control clean and cool later.

Thats full speed with a nickel on the frame and its not moving, I could not be happier, Jose answered emails immediately and also upgraded my platen little wheels because he was about 4 days late on shipping.....The bench grinder is now on backup duty and I see less handsanding in my future. My goal is knives I can be proud to give away for the holidays.

Thanks for the feedback. I just paid for mine. I'm just not sure how long I'm going to be waiting, since there are 10 people ahead of me (maybe 9 now?). How long did you wait for yours?

Your welcome, 5 weeks from purchase to delivery....UPS from Oregon was only 2 days for me.

Mine was only about 5 weeks too. Same deal easy to set up. Even electrically challenged me can match black to black and red to red etc. I got the 1.5 Baldor motor and the VFD but mine is enclosed, flipping platen with 2" and 8" contact wheels and a small wheel attachment. I would also have to agree that Jose is easy and great to deal with whether on the phone or through email. I had to try hard and NOT be ONE of THOSE customers and call ever day to get a progress report. I was good and it showed up just when it was suppose too. I love this grinder. The nickel balancing deal, piece of cake, plus it seems quieter than my other grinders too. Now here is where I have to give Jose a huge thumbs up and that is service after the sale. Had the grinder for about a month and was just making a push stick with it when the VFD made a popping noise and quit. No power to the motor. Had a buddy come by that is not electrically challenged and he could see no obvious problems such as a short or a loose connection or anything. Called Jose and he had me ship the old VFD to him. This was Friday evening. Monday morning I get notification that a new VFD is drop shipping directly from the manufacturer to me. When it arrives in a few days I go to hook it up and realize no pig tail for power. Call Jose and zap he UPS one down to me in just a couple of days. All up and running. Total cost for repairs and to get me back up and running....zero, zip, nada! I will be buying more grinders from Jose in the future as $$$ allows. I'm already designing two of em in my head.

/I got mine two weeks ago , it runs flawlessly, my wife cant tell when it is on upstairs, was going to soundproof my grinding room, but no need really. Jose is awesome. I called just before it was due to ship, asked for one of the vfd enclosures. He said he would have to order one or upgrade me if I didnt mind waiting another week. I also loved the fact that he used recycled water bottles as packing material, way to go Jose.

Awesome, really good feedback. I jumped the gun and already ordered belts for the grinder from Pops and Tru Grit (which are already here now), so it's nice to know I won't be settling in to wait for a year. Took Jose a couple weeks to get back to me, but that's clearly just because he's so in demand, and once he did, he was good about responding to the questions I had. Sounds like a great option for new grinders!
