Just bought a new carbon fiber Sage, and Im wondering how durable this knife really is? Should I add it to my collection, or should I use it at work? Im in hte plumbing wholesale buisness, I cut a ton of cardboard, plastic strapping heavy rope etc.. Im really anxious to see how S30v steel holds up.Right now I carry a Endura combo blade, and it saws through everything I can throw at it. Should I make my Sage my new edc?????

It sounds like you want a serrated blade for your uses. The Sage has a smaller blade than the Endura so it may be smaller than you're used to.

The CF on the Sage is beautiful to look at, and feels great in the hand. If you don't like messing it up a bit, you can definitely edc it. :) Carbon Fiber is incredibly strong, lightweight, and durable. I think there was a previous thread about this somewhere....

Carry it. Use it. Use it hard. It may look pretty, but it is made for work.

The Sage is smaller than the Endura, but it's a cutter. You'll be glad you bought it and picked it to use, just don't cut yourself. :D

How is that Sage? Good lock-up, blade play?

I've been thinking of one ever since the thread on the Ti Sage.

I carry mine a LOT and love it. I have a second one stashed for years down the road.

It's only medium duty but what does one need for a realistic EDC? It works super nice one handed, both opening and closing and sharpens up super nicely. Locks up great, open framed which I like for an EDC and is very light. Very nice knife for $85 give or take.
