Have there ever been any textured Buck 110 versions manufactured ?, modified Buck 11Os ?

David, can you give a little more detailed feedback on that specific blade? I've been eyeing that one for a while, we must have some similar tastes in Buck 110's. :-) Curious what your reaction to the S90v is, how good is the edge retention, how slicey is the blade grind, and what you use to sharpen it (I have to assume diamonds??, or are your going with SiC for coarse and then finishing on your India??).

here's a post I put in another thread, well this is part of that post anyway.
Kind of eye opening for me of late :
Had this 110 since '81; most of the last twenty years it has sat on my dresser while I carried all manner of new fangled thing. Always modding handles and wishing for . . . something . . .

After EDCing the old dude this last week . . . maybe what I been wishing for is that the new fangled things were more like the 110 . . . handle shape wise anyway.

Thanks. Looks like you ended up sharpening it on fine diamond, I assume DMT. To deburr the fine wire edge, did you figure out a strop option that worked well on this steel to follow the diamonds, or did you just end up doing backhoning on a SiC stone in lieu of stropping?

I used back honing on both stone material to restore the edge. It works well. At this point I can't say one works better than the other. DM
