Have you ever "accidentally" cut something you're not suppose to?

Besides my fingers a few times, I cut my shower curtain a few weeks ago. Took a knife into the bathroom to see if I could push cut toilet paper (couldnt but it did make a nice cut with a tiny bit of a slicing motion) then turned around with paying enough attention and put a 3-4 inch gash in the shower curtain. Fixed with duct tape until I get around to buying a new one.

I cut a check that I had coming in the mail. Slit it right in half.

I also did it another time a few months ago :)

i can't even begin to list the things I "accidentally" cut when I was a kid. house plants were not safe while I was around.

wow that sucks. i once cut a bed sheet. what sucks is it was a 100 sheet set.

I'm on my third set of sheets in the last year...

:p

Also learned the semi-hard-awkward-medium way why care is useful when playing with knives. A few years ago I very nearly stabbed myself in the leg... Ended up with my knife going clean through my pant leg and out the other side, somehow without getting myself in the process.

I once cut myself so cleanly, that after 1 minute of direct pressure the cut was like it never happened.

weird

Shouldn't you see a doctor about that?

I did :p

I didn't peel the bandage back far enough to see the other wound in this photo and only realized it today...

Oh lord, do you want a list?
The couch.
Sheets.
My Bed.
My Shirt.
My Pants.

Cut through my jeans once, and got my leg.
Cut my fingers multiple times.
My hand.

Carpet.
I've cut papers when I was opening envelops.

And many many many other things.

Aside from getting nice big ones on both my middle fingers, I've gotten my blanket with a machete, (nice blanket too :( 3 inch gash) I chopped my bedside table when I was drunk and I put a little tiny stab mark onto my computer screen with my PM2 when I was first learning how to flick it open D:

I'm always thinking about what I'm doing, so I haven't made a mistake since I last got my finger.

My first spyder has tasted my blood within 15 minutes of it's arrival at my house...

This is actually the first time I've cut myself while shaving. :p

Another one I just remembered: I have a push dagger taped to my bed so I can quickly grab it if I need it. One night I pulled it out, just to fondle it - stabbed my headboard a couple times trying to put it back in the sheath without turning the lights on :grumpy:

The worst one was the time I got a crash course in patching a rather large hole in a portable swimming pool.

Gent's, don't use a knife to cut weeds around an inflatable pool.

Other than the normal nicks from inattentively closing a knife, I've slashed up the shifter on my car pretty good while flicking opening my Para 2 during my 45 minute commute.

other than myself? yeah.... suede la-z-boy recliner arm, my own suede cushioned couch. and a car seat much like your original picture

Some of you may think this is funny, I sadly dont have a picture at this moment (so believe what you want currently), but stupidly my friend was flipping a balisong over a apple, accidentally dropped the knife, and it fell perfectly into the apple. Although a picture will not prove the actions that happened before it. Also it was not purposely over a apple, one just happened to be their.

I was trying to open one of the big cans of Monster energy drink in my truck. The twist of cap is covered with a plastic wrap that has no way of being removed other than brute force, so I decided to open it with the G10 Kershaw Leek. The tip went right into the can and the drink got everywhere. I had just gotten to the concert I was going to, so it sucked being all sticky.

I've never cut into any fabric, piece of furniture or any other inanimate object by mistake. But I've cut my hand about 5 times over the years. Best advice is to never handle a knife while sitting down and don't flip folders closed, do it two-handed, unless you trained really well and effectively with a trainer or a taped edge. Even then... pay attention. Just look at those photos and focus. Easier said than done, right?

I was opening a case of soda for my store, and I sliced right through several bottles. The soda got all over the floor and my knife. It sure was a mess....
