Have You Ever Been Proud Of Cutting Yourself...

No, I prefer not to cut myself and I feel pretty dumb on the rare occasion that I do (always a lapse in safety on my part). I prefer that my blood stay INSIDE my body. I prefer to avoid trips to the ER, stitches, severed nerves and tendons, infections, having to wear bandages, etc.

No offense, but I think some of you guys are pretty strange. I like and value my knives plenty without having to cut myself open with them. But to each his own I guess.

No but I do have this equally weird thing about accidental cuts. I feel they bond you to the knife. A friend cut himself on one of my Bucks. I instantly gave it to him. Also I sharpened a Victorinox before planning to give it to my father in law as a gift. I cut myself accidentally and kept the thing ordering him a new one...
In my defense, I do in fact realize it's crazy ;)

Oh yeah, remember the time I cut myself when I was borrowing one of your knives?? I can't remember the name of it, but it was a really nice one.:p

I really try to avoid cutting myself, so I didn't feel too good about it the times I have.
If I shot myself in the leg after cleaning a gun, I wouldn't be thinking how glad I was that it functioned so reliably and that the hollow point round expanded fully leaving a larger wound channel!!

I think about the times I ve cut myself with just light contact with an extremely sharp blade. It makes my wonder about the saying that one is more likely to cut himself with a dull knife than a sharp one. I m not sure I agree.
While cutting myself with a very sharp knife impresses me with my sharpening job, i m not sure it makes me proud.

Proud of cutting myself? No, But when someone else cuts them self with one of my knives. Yeah. If they know me they should know better.

I feel as you ............. totally

No, it makes me feel stupid. It's like a gun person accidentally shooting themself, but not as dramatic.
