I have a small collection of only about dozen knives so I'm not there yet. However, I collect production knives and if I ever get tired of them I will just look at customs. Problem is that I will probably only buy 1 custom a year due to the price but I guess I could look into mid-tech knives as well which from what I understand are a middle ground between production and custom.
