I'll add I have done this exact same thing many times with my SHBM. It also matters what type of wood. I have also done it with a battlerat with no problems. Not as many times though.
I might or might not be the best guy to ask I guess. I have broke many. 2 swamp rats as of recently. The only person to manage to break the M6's and I did both of them.
