Well, yesterday it arrived.
I carefully opened the package and there it was: my GenO Denning Interframe folder with box elder inserts.
Had to keep blinking to get the real picture because the mirror finish on this knife is so FINE. Beautiful! If there is a flaw on it I can't see it and so far I have spent about six or seven hours staring at it. Turning it over and over. Opening and closing it.
If you have seen GenO's mirror finish you have seen the "mirror".
This knife has a snap when it opens that sounds like a tree branch breaking.
Before I got it Geno giggled over the phone and said "Listen to this (snap), Whoooeee! I just love it (snap)!"
You could hear the knife opening and closing across five thousand miles of telphone wires. From South Carolina to Maui, HI.
If any of you would like to give me a call I would be glad to open and close the knife so you can hear it.
GenO said this is the third folder he made and it was made under the careful guidance of George Herron.
You know when you get that feeling of the hair standing up on the back of your neck? Thats what I felt as I beheld this knife.
My God! If this is "only" his third knife think of what they will be like when he has a couple dozen "under his belt".
Icing on the cake (Need there be)???
I have a Chute Knife due from him in a couple of weeks with a matching box elder handle cut from the same chunk of wood.
Its come full circle now, man.
Nirvana is a GenO knife with another on the way.
Mama said there'd be days like this, I just did'nt think they'd be THIS good.

"Well we'd like to stand around and talk but we have to go sit in the lobby and wait for the limo"
