Have you ever looked in the "mirror"?

Well, yesterday it arrived.
I carefully opened the package and there it was: my GenO Denning Interframe folder with box elder inserts.
Had to keep blinking to get the real picture because the mirror finish on this knife is so FINE. Beautiful! If there is a flaw on it I can't see it and so far I have spent about six or seven hours staring at it. Turning it over and over. Opening and closing it.
If you have seen GenO's mirror finish you have seen the "mirror".
This knife has a snap when it opens that sounds like a tree branch breaking.
Before I got it Geno giggled over the phone and said "Listen to this (snap), Whoooeee! I just love it (snap)!"
You could hear the knife opening and closing across five thousand miles of telphone wires. From South Carolina to Maui, HI.
If any of you would like to give me a call I would be glad to open and close the knife so you can hear it.
GenO said this is the third folder he made and it was made under the careful guidance of George Herron.
You know when you get that feeling of the hair standing up on the back of your neck? Thats what I felt as I beheld this knife.
My God! If this is "only" his third knife think of what they will be like when he has a couple dozen "under his belt".
Icing on the cake (Need there be)???
I have a Chute Knife due from him in a couple of weeks with a matching box elder handle cut from the same chunk of wood.
Its come full circle now, man.
Nirvana is a GenO knife with another on the way.
Mama said there'd be days like this, I just did'nt think they'd be THIS good.

Aloha Thomas! A broad grin spread across my face as I read your post. Knowing that sometimes your subject lines come in like a hard breaking ball, (You never really know where it's gonna go!) I just shook my head and pictured you going "Gotcha!".

Man, that must be some folder. Congrats on snagging such an early, and obviously very successful folder effort by GenO. That Chute knife I'm sure will be no small thrill either. I'm looking to pick up one of GenO's boot knives here in a couple of months, as I really like his work.

Hey, I like that new signature!

Did you actually hear someone say that?

Aloha Al!

I'll e-mail you off line and give you an update.

The signature/quote is from the movie "This is Spinal Tap", just one of the great lines from that movie!

Saw some of the pics of these on Geno's site a week or two ago while they were in progress. I was tempted then and now I can't take it.

Thanks again Hoss!

Nice pics Thomas. Can actually see you (or someone) taking the picture!

That's it. I'm adding a GenO. It's going to be a while before I have a collection of beautiful folders like your's, bug guy.
