Have you ever ordered direct from Cold Steel ?

Placed an order on 31 Jan 2017 before their Christmas Sales end.
Still waiting my order to be shipped by them now. It has been more than regular processing time which stated clearly on Cold Steel website. http://www.coldsteel.com/shipping

My order was planned as birthday gift for my kid. Now it would not be happened on time.
I'd like to love Cold Steel knives more, but I dont think I would be anymore.

Emailed their Customer Service and get the simple reply as below -

There is no tracking information available at this time. Your order has not shipped out yet.

For what it is worth Knife Works can be trusted to geeter done for you and super quick.

not sure if one knife is considered a small parts order but from my experience I would cancel the order and move on.
PPS: you can't trust what they tell you on the phone.
 
To be fair and truthful . . .

I have had a Cold Steel , Holdout I, in my pocket all day . . . using it off and on . . . and I really like it.
So what can you do ? ? ? ?
 
yeah on their itspecpro whatever site. they liquidate stuff sometimes at rock.bottom prices. other stuff lists much higher than dealers. shipped 2 weeks or so. wasnt a bad transaction as i was aware ahead of time of the slower shipping deal.

you should call sounds like it was stuff not in stock and still on the slow boat from Asia.

Thanks man. Haven't tried to call them yet since they did reply my email before almost 1 week ago.
I buy knives from KnifeCenter.com quite often and they ship overseas fast either, normally over a day.

Yeah man. Hold Out I is in my order list as well.
Besides Hold Out I, there are also XL Recon 1 Tanto and 5.5" Talwar, all in OD green.

Have been waiting my order to be shipped by Cold Steel for more than 1 week, arrrrhhhh !!!!!

But yeah, all my ltspecpro orders shipped in a couple days.

I ordered a couple different times during their sale, and they both shipped the following day.

Thanks. Maybe I was really the luckiest customer and they were custom making my Cold Steel knives in US.

1 week arrrrhhhh !!! Have been waiting shipping confirmation more than 1 week arrrrhhhh !!!

Thanks for listening my complaint. Hope Cold Steel guys see this thread.

I shall get my boy a Barbie or something for birthday gift instead.
He would be sad that he couldnt get a Talwar XL for a gift like his father did.

Well at least he will have something to test out the edge geometry on when he finally gets his Cold Steel.

PS: lets hope he doesn't have a hidden talent for knife throwing or you may be in trouble.
 
Why would anyone order directly from Cold Steel when their knives are usually 60% cheaper on Knifecenter/BladeHQ etc?

Seems like they run specials sometimes and you can get some serious discounts.

^yep. this.

sometimes the itspecpro site has massive discounts on certain close outs that knifecenter and such can't even come close to. i got a couple kopis machetes for 9 bucks each, knifecenter had them at over over double that so back then...

like anything one has to shop around, unless they don't care or don't want to.
 
I have ordered from Ltspecpro.com (this is also an official cold steel website). Cheaper prices on most items.

I had made an overseas call to Customer Service in Ventura, California few days ago.
They gladly told me that my order has already been shipped since 06 Feb 2017 and promised to send me a tracking number after the call.
However, I had never received the tracking number from them since that then.

The statement from my Cold Steel order notification - "Once your package ships, we will send an email with a link to track your order" has never been happened on me at least. HAHA !!!

Luckily the administrator of Cold Steel official Facebook fan page willing to me follow up my order.
The fan page admin sent me the tracking number of my order instead of their customer service.

A big thanks to Cold Steel Fan Page !!! Now I finally know my order left Los Angeles.
