  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Have you ever saved a life with a knife?

@ceral_killer. Don't beat yourself up, you did what you could as a bystander. Even if pd had an AED it would not of mattered survival rate of traumatic arrest is 1% and the most common rhythms are PEA or Asystole so an AED wouldn't of helped.
I am a full time fire/medic and applaud your efforts. As for me I have used my knives in many situations from accidents with entrapment to medicals. I carry a benchmade triage in my station pants and use the crap out if the strap cutter, I use it instead if shears. I have a spyderco assist in my bunker pants it went through the tornado that hit my town in November and I use it to break out windows to vent when I'm a nozzle man and I'm not carrying a tool.
