Have you ever turned around for a knife?

Nope! I might forget my wallet, cell phone, keys and/or pants, but I never forget my knife!
Forgetting your pants really sucks especially if for some reason you get pulled over by an leo. Honestly, at one time or another, I have forgotten just about everything, except pants. I however keep a spare pair of pants inside my pickup just in case of accidents. Lately it has been my cell phone being left behind.... I don't get that many calls on most days for it to matter. But emergencies happen and I like to be prepared.

When I pull everything out of my pockets it all sits on the dresser waiting for the following day, so it’d be difficult to walk out the door without a primary, SAK, flashlight, keys, and wallet. If I forget my phone I consider it a mini vacation.

I have so many knives, I tend to keep them in various places so if I'm in any of my usual spots, I've always got options.

I don’t have to, I keep a backup in my vehicle for just such a scenario. But that wouldn’t ever be needed since I don’t go anywhere without a blade.

My problem is I have to keep everything out of reach from my 2.5 year old. When he saw my Spydie salt 2 he fell in love with the yellow. I let him play with it but have to follow him around to make sure he doesn't accidentally open the knife.

Yes, I have turned around for a knife, but it depends where I am and the possible consequences. If I’m well in the way to work and running on time, no. I’ll feel uncomfortable without a knife, but I’ll use my discomfort over it as a lesson to myself. I’ve done that before. If I’ve just locked my front door and started my car, I will turn it off and go back inside to get one if I forgot.

I used to keep a Leatherman Wave in my car’s glove compartment many years ago, until the car was broken into, and the tool was stolen, along with a $5 cardboard window shade(!). Although I no longer have that car, I also no longer stash knives in my car because of that.

I always EDC 3 knives anyway. I always have at least my 2 regular SAKs in my pockets (Executive and Pioneer). So if I forget a knife, it’ll be my clip knife. So it’s not really a big deal.

I once had my pickup broken into at a convenience store.... lost a knife and the cig lighter. Strange what people steal. After that event, I never kept the cig lighter inserted into the slot as I never used it anyway. It is mostly a charge port for rechargeable items now. Regardless of use, I want one in my vehicle. Yes to turning off the vehicle and going back inside the house and it's usually for the smart phone. Knives are kind of a permanent attachment for me where as I have to actually think about the cell phone or tablet as far as taking it with me. As I said, I don't get enough calls daily to worry about the cell phone for the most part. I keep a machete, spare knife, and pliers-base multi-tool inside my vehicle pretty much constantly regardless of theft potential. That stuff is right up there in importance to me as having jumper cables, shovel, tow straps, tie down straps, and flash lights with me.

I keep a selection of knives in various jacket pockets, the car, workshop, daypack, so if I do forget my usual EDC (which is about never) I have a suitable substitute.

I've never needed a knife on me so badly that I'd turn around and go home to grab. Then again, I never forget.

I have a cheap spyderco in my toolbox at the shop anyways. Brand spanking new in box, opened twice, because I've never needed it

I keep my EDC stuff (keys, wallet, sunglasses, two folders of which I pick one for the day) on a little table near the door. I've never forgotten any of them. As I'm retired, my trips into town to the grocery store, Costco, meetings, etc. rarely require a specific knife anyway. Also, I always have a SAK Executive in my pocket at home. It sits on the nightstand along with a chapstick. All that said, I also have a few knives in my Lexus Land Cruiser along with a multi-tool.

I have never gone out without a knife. Somehow, I always remember that.

I did forget my bandana one morning, which was far more annoying: cold, sweaty hard hat harness band.

I keep an EDC level folder in my toolbox for just such occasions. But yes, I do feel naked without my EDC. I hate traveling without checked luggage as I cant bring a knife on the plane with me. Ive almost gone and bought a cheap folder just to carry while im away in whatever town I traveled to...

Like the honesty. As mentioned in my first post, I have backups in my vehicle and work, but admit I have actually turned around because I forgot my favorite edc.
I left the house and then ran back to get my knife even risking missing the bus :D

I have a lineup of EDC options laid out where I keep my keys, wallet, etc. I also keep a couple backup EDC type knives in my car. Plus the rambler on my keys. It would be really hard to forget a knife.

This, exactly. I have a few knives laid out right where my wallet and keys are.

I figure I won’t get very far without my keys, and the knives are right there.

If I ever do forget, I’ve got a few stashed in the car and one in the tool kit on my bike. I’m never completely without.

Last thing I forgot and didn’t go back for was my belt. Luckily, I had my camo Harley Davidson suspenders in the car... Ever walked into a business office wearing wingtips, khakis, a fashionable button down shirt, and friggin’ camo H-D suspenders?

Lol :D it was a hoot alright. Made the squares take a second look.
