Have you ever used your knife to save a life?

Cut down two prisoners that were trying to hang themselves.

I would not call it saving a life but I worked in er/trauma for 7 year and used my knife most of the time. I used a gerber ez-out for three years and then came along a spydie. I used my blades to remove leather boots, all types of material, and restraints from trauma victims. Once I removed a very expensive pair of boots, from a man with a crushed foot, by cutting the down the front. Needless to say he was very upset. I learned to cut them at the seams. This way they can get them fixed back.
