Have you every heard of?

Has anybody heard of a knife maker by the name of "Poag", I think that is his name. He says he has been making knives for over 40years. He is going to sell me some equipment for real cheap and help me get started.

He is listed in Knives '98. It says he forges, grinds, engraves, scrimshaws, and does leather work. He also provides serious leather work to other makers. He is a full-timer and it sates he sold his first knife in 1967. That is cool there weren't a lot of makers in '67 and he has been around for a while. I have not met him for what that is worth. Gus thanks for the info, I saw some of his work looks very good. I just never hear of him before. I think I will take him up on his offer.
