Have you found the perfect Leatherman?--i finally did

For me it's the leatherman charge XTI. I hated that they quit making it.

Ditto for the Blast. Its the only multitool I've ever carried, but I love it. A great combination of tools, all the ones I need most often. I like to whip it out at family barbecues when something needs tweaking or fixing, and my brother often says, in a disgusted voice, "Here he comes, out with the hero stick."

I also have been carrying a Surge, since Christmas. I should have exchanged it for a Wave because this thing is huge , but Ive gotten use to it.

I have had an old leatherman (not sure which one) but I just recently bought the Skeletool and love it, carry it everyday and use it for work, blade small for box's and I carry a folder usually outside of work so dont need a large blade more so need the pliers.

I've had the squirt p4 on my keychain for years. So long that almost all of the blue is worn off. I find the most useful tool on it is the pliers, which I use for "grooming" my nose hairs.

I also have the juice cs4 which I'll occasionally carry in place of an EDC knife. I've taken up drinking wine just to make use of that corkscrew.

Plucking nose hairs is actually very unsafe and can damage your sense of smell! You are better off trimming with scissors!!

Every time I pulled a nose hair it hurt like H E double hockey sticks. I now use mini-scissors.:D

I carry a blast, have for a couple of years now. Before that I carried a Fuse. I always carry a folder and don't really use the knives on the MT, unless I lend someone else a knife. I carry my MT and use it everyday at work for something. Although I think my final and perfect Leatherman is going to be a set. The Supertool 300 and a Micra. Working in a machine shop the bigger MT will come in handy. I am a little disappointed that the Supertool doesn't come with scissors, so I figured I would get a Micra to compensate. Also since I use my MT scissors to cut my nails the Micra will be nice to have.

For me it was a lot of trail and error. Started with a Supertool years ago, got stolen, replaced it with a PST, and that is still used all the time. But my current job has me installing a lot of network and phone jacks around the building, trimming CAT-5 and coax, abd punching down cable into punch boxs at least a couple of times a month. The PST has no saw, so I was pairing it with a SAK (any SAK with a saw). Since I have gotten Gerbers, a Vic Spirit, a SOG Powerlock, and a ton of others, and most recently, a Surge and a Core. I love the Surge, it rides on my EDC bag all the time, but teh saw... well... it is too weak for me (replaced it once already). I strongly prefer the saw on the Core, and that is the one that has taken the EDC daily carry spot. :)

If the Surge didnt have the replaceable saw, and was solid, it would be the prefect MT for me.

Supertool 300 on my belt, TTi in my go bag, Surge on my duty belt, micra in my pocket.... im very happy just now
