Have You Seen This Bowie By Claudio :)

It's my pleasure

That knife is utter greatness :) @ It killed me not grabbing it.

Someday you will have to make me one similar :)

I assumed that you'd like... haha... When you want. I am at your service my friend.. Think you, that modification would like on the knife.
This is exclusive to Robert!:D

I echo what Joe said - would love to meet you at Blade sometime

This knife is probably my favorite of all the beauties you've posted - super job

Bill Flynn

I believe Claudio to be one of the best new makers I have seen in a very long time :)

Claudio if I may ask what kind of Distel taper did this blade have ?

Say from the guard to the start of the clip

Claudio any plans to attend Blade in the future ?

Would love to meet in person :)

I would love to attend the Blade Show in 2014. 90% of the knives that do, are sent to the U.S.
I too would like to meet you personally and a few more friends who gave me this job. I'd also like to see the work of colleagues who I admire.

But I have a problem that I must solve .... I do not speak a word in English. I think I will start with English classes in order to realize the visit..:)

Joe, do not quite understand the question. If you refer to the section of the blade is flat - convex

What I mean my friend is the thickness of the spine

From the guard it tapers down quickly till it meets the part of the blade the clip starts at.

This would be called Distal Taper

Example on Wheeler

I have found in my fixed blades that have any size I really like the blades to exhibit this

I have found it ups the performance to a very high degree

As for your English no worries we will figure it out

Just ask Sam Lurguin his English at first was not to good but he brings someone with him to translate and it all works out :)

For example the Wheeler above was like .33 at the guard going down to .23 @ the clip if I remember right

Ok, now I understand.

In this case there is little difference because the knife has bevel to the brut forge. the Nick knife has a plain bevel to the back.
The size is 0.26 "in the hilt, in the beginning of the clip 0.23" and 0.12" close to the tip
I also like that the blade is tapered to the tip

I'll do my best to go in 2014.

Best regards and thanks,
Claudio

Claudio

I think you will find that if you take two knives, one that displays radical distal taper against one that does not the one that displays the radical distal taper although theoretically slightly heavier will feel better move quicker and also change direction better while having more power.

It is truly the difference between a good fighting Bowie and a GREAT fighting Bowie IMHO

Here is an example this is a ten inch blade Knight Founders Bowie

If you ever do a ten inch blade with dimension close to this put my name on it :)

Everyone knows how I like projects :)
