Hi all, im guessing at least a few of the members here have sold knives by way of consignment, and i would like to hear your input. Looking to sell out a block of knives ranging in value from $500 to $2500, with a total value of 20000 to 25000. Mainly, there are so many choices of sites, is any one really any better than another? My main choices are Arizona custom, tri city, steel addiction, blade junkee, and fort henry. I have purchased from all of them but tri city and have nothing but good experiences.

So, if you have sold this way, do you feel like the higher price commanded by the site helped offset the 25% cost? Was the overall experience a good one?

Thank you!

I've consigned on Arizona Custom many times and it has always been a great experience. Knives can often sell there much more quickly than they would if you attempted to sell them on the forums, and often for a higher price. Plus, the fact that you can send them in and essentially forget about them is nice. I think it's generally worth the fee for higher priced items. For lower priced ones (sub-$500), it can often be easier and more economical to sell them yourself.
