So here's my first damascus dagger. :)

The handle is cocobolo, the guard and butt cap are copper.
The blade is 1095, 1080, and 8670.

That's way cool, Phillip! I always love leaf-shaped blades. Helluva knife.
 
Very nice! The damascus is very cool and very semetrical. What steel is the darkest one? I did not realize that 1080 and 1095 would show any contrast.

Very very nice Phillip, approximately how many layers of steel?

The copper hardware works well with the cocobolo, especially after the copper gets a petina on it.

The 1080 etches darkest, because it has more manganese than the 1095, and the 8670 etches lightest, because it has some nickel in it.

I don't know for sure what the layer count is. My best guess is around 150.
