Having problems with James Aguilar from J&G Designs

Hi all,

I am currently getting very concerned about two knives that I sent to James Aguilar form J&G Designs.. AKA.. Covenantdesignworks...AKA...Anubis Industries - for hybrid sheaths. The communication was reasonable enough. So when James had finished them, he sent photos (the looked great BTW) and an invoice.... Then it went radio silent...

I paid the invoice and sent a confirmation email... the waited a bit... then after hearing nothing, wrote again requesting a tracking number... and then waited another week. THEN James actually wrote back... with a tracking number..and so now, for the last week, I have been tracking the package and all it says that USPS are "Awaiting Item"...WTF! I paid in full almost 3 weeks ago and have had one email since! The knives have not even been shipped!

Anyway, hopefully it's a storm in a teacup and this story has a happy ending.... however something doesn't feel right with this guy...

I'll keep you post as things develop...

Just got confirmation that the knives shipped on the 29th November.... and so begins the 10 day wait.

What F'ing slack service. It's like sending me the tracking number was a rouse... get paid in full then sit on your hands and don't respond to emails until 3 weeks later..

Reading back on my first post I have not explained the situation it very well but I don't think I'm over stating things here... or being precious. I have been buying custom knives and sheaths from the US for over a decade and am very realistic about time frames, response times and industry standard customer service.

Blade Forums member James Aguilar form J&G Designs is a service provider to avoid altogether or at the very least be very cautious of. Go in with your eyes wide open if you choose to engage.

Hopefully they make the journey easily mate !! I have to say the stuff I have had coming out of the US over the past couple of weeks has been running really smoothly and ahead of or right on schedule !!!!
