Having trouble finding/buying knives in person.

i empaththize with all you guys but i've handled so many knifes that i have a pretty good idea what i'm getting from the great pics on the forum. i was in doubt about the copper melt lockback by gec until i saw the tsa & collector knives selection site pics which showed that knife in much better color photography. the initial gec pic made the acrylic look flat. many forum members show knife pics of professional quality that make a decision easy. one can always request of the forum to post a pic of a certain model & usually you will be rewarded with a great example of the desired knife.try it you might like it.

which would you rather have? a knife store near you that carries everything but you can't carry what you want because of local laws or no knife stores just buy knives on order but no hassle carry of even largish(6 inches or so) fixed blades?

Pennsylvania has a gun show somewhere every weekend, Sometimes 3 or more on a given weekend. You will find knife dealers there. Depending on the show there may be several.

I live in western Pa and the only thing close to me is the cabella's in WV. They pretty much charge msrp, so I dont buy anything there. Probably about 99% of knives I bought were just from pics. I have been happy though with all my purchases.
