Hello HOGS & Piglets,
I'll be in Honolulu from 9-16 to 9-30 so if there are any hogs or piglets, rats or dogs, that wanna get together and say hello or would like to fondle a little INFI,let me know and I'll bring something along for the ride for show and tell.
Shoot me a email or pm.

I'm also looking to do some hiking if anyone has some recommended trails.

I have family there and I always send my stuff ahead in the mail....Since Homeland security made it a point to check all my luggage once and came up missing a few nice pieces of Steel when I arrived.
As for hiking I like up North Shore Windward side Waimea Falls I don't do a lot of hiking.... I go cuz my Bro has a boat and we are hunting Ahi Tuna. Wish I were staying but leaving thursday back stateside....Darn the Luck have a great time...

Next time...Didn't we have this discussion B4?....:D

I grew up on O'ahu. Despite how populated the island is, there are some amazing hikes that don't see a lot of traffic. I highly recommend the Hiker's Guide to O'ahu by Stuart Ball. It's the best guidebook I've ever read. I don't know how adventurous you are, but there's a hike on the Windward side called Pu'u Manamana. It's my favorite hike on the island. It is very steep, though, and entails a decent amount of scrambling and bushwhacking. If you're up for long (15 miles round trip) but mellow hike, I recommend Waimano Ridge. Have a blast.

I don't know the trails, but chow and drinks are good at Dukes, and the crab legs are plentiful at the Oceanarium.

For a second there I thought you said you'd be in Honolulu for 14 minutes! :D

Talk about squeezing a lot into a short time period!!!

5 days to go but who's counting. :)
Thanks for the hiking tips and sendoff.
Looks like either a SHBA or RMD will be going along for the ride.

If you make the North Shore trip and get the munchies....check out the White Shirmp truck at Kahuku...Giovanni's Original...Killer Shrimp Scampi...;thumbup:

Take lots of pics, I don't think I've seen a bad picture from a Hawaii trip. I know a lot of people would enjoy seeing what you experienced.

The General and I honeymooned there, but we didn't take many pics!;)........................................:D

The last time I was in Oahu, I took two SHBM's myself.
I also had the worst hangover ever!
I was there for a private food convention, the entire conference level of the hotel was rented out by all the big name food guys. Kraft foods had the best room by far! Man they can throw a party. All the companies had free lobster, liquor and beer, but only Kraft foods paid 100k for their party including flying in 6 of the hottest Vegas showgirls on earth. I was talking to them, they got 2k for the party. Plus 5k for what ever else they wanted. By the end of the night I was on stage with a couple dozen others with the showgirls. Haha!

Have fun! I did! :)
