This hawk was forged from a farriers rasp. It's head is 6 1/2'' with a 2 1/8'' cutting edge. The 19 1/2'' handle is made of hickory with a linseed oil finish. The hawk comes with a leather sheath. I am asking $100 which includes shipping in conus. I take personal checks or money orders only..thanks for looking.

how is the action. good splitter/ have you given it the chopping routine or is it made for throwing/
looks like it would be a good belt axe.
i have been collecting rasps hoping to hammer a few out, but making a hawk is too much for me at this time.

This hawk throws and chops well. The handle is somewhat long for a thrower but I can cut the handle down to personal preferance. I like the long 19'' handle because it makes for a more powerfull chopper and it can still be thrown. BTW the pic's don't really show it but the head is a nice plum brown color.

Great looking Hawk! I really like the rasp teath still on the head!

Looks very functional!
