Here's a little axe I made recently.. Great worker, Sang right through an oak 2x6 no problem.
Head is 1060 from Kelly Cupple's left with a forge finish, sealed with beeswax and oil with a ground an hardened bit.
Haft is white oak split(for maximum straight grain) lightly stained and sealed with beaswax, the endgrain has wax melted into it to keep moisture from shrinking and expanding the wood against the eye.
The haft is secured with a single wood wedge through the top.
Price is 120$ shipping and paypal fees included.
