There are a lot of uses for a little knife like this: Pare veggies in the kitchen, collect mushrooms in the woods, keep it in the shop as a bench knife, trim fingernails, etc. etc. I use a similar knife to cut leather for sheaths.

52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 50-60
Flat grind to a very fine edge finished with a 400 grit bellt
Stabilized figured walnut handle
