hawk handle problems

well, the hickory did it. I'm still gonna get a better handle but to test the hickory I used a hammer handle made of hickory and set to work with my pocket knife. not a problem all day. even withstands a few bad throws. thanks alot for all the advice, I really appreciate it.

I got my wife to throw my hawk yesterday, and I think she's hooked. one rotation at about 10-12 feet she's on the money, after about a half hour she'll hit a six in group on our stump in the back yard. she even hits from 20 feet but her arm get tired after a bit. she wants on of her own now :D

move back about 1/2 step from the hawk distance to throw the knife. Its a little harder but still fun too. I got my Rondy style knife from Beaver Bill. Drift over to the knfe throwing forum when you feel ready or post here.I'll wager most hawk throwers do the same with knives.

already into the knives, wifes not too good at that yet. and besides, Id rather be hit with a hawk then a rolling pin or salad tongs any way.
