how do you guys carry your hawks? do you guys use sheaths do you guys throw them in your bags? i just bought a cs trail hawk and i have no clue how i plan on carrying it

I won't recommend throwing your trail hawk in a bag without a sheath.
I personally improvised a cardbord sheath (mainly to protect my pack from the edge of the hawk). Many people make their own leather/kydex sheaths.
You can find useful info on the Axe,Tomahawk and Hatchet forum.

I keep mine in its kaidex sheath, Daniel Winkler put a lot of time into the development of this sheath.

i did up some leather for my frontier and pipehawk it wasnt to hard at all with the right tools, they look great and they work great. as for carry, may i recommend to you sir what im sure is one of the more popular movies among members here? The Last of the Mohicans haha.. make a belt loop for it or tuck it in your sash the old way like you see in that great movie

Well, this is what I came up with for carry. If I redesign it, I'm thinking of making the carry loop separately, and attaching it with a loose rivet to the belt loop so that it will swivel as I walk.

I doubt I'm going to carry any of mine out in the woods because I dont really see the need unless I want to throw it. If I do take it will have it sheathed of course and then likely just shove it behind the webbing on the outside of my pack. A lot of packs these days come with loops and etc for ice axes so there you go.
