Forged from mild steel with a hardened carbon steel bit forge welded into the edge
I have heat treated the edge to about 55 Rc hardness to the so it can be touched up with a file like most other axes
White ash haft 15 inches long
Length of the head is 5 inches with a 2 3/4 inch cutting edge
Simple leather edge cover

Nice pickup. I have a couple spiked hawks and I really like them. But my hawk that is a lot like this one gets the most use. Just really easy to grab and do something with it without always havng to be aware that I'm threatening myself with a pointy object while I'm using it.
