  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Hawk Talon

I just inquired about my order. They said it will be about another month . . .🥺

I did the first article on Grant (RIP) and Gavin way back in 1997, then it was on Grant's "Pony" knife. I still remember talking to Grant and asking him how he got into the knife business? His reply was "He was a recovering prospector." He had spent years traveling around the deserts of the West looking for gold. John

Nice! I was just told I'm 3-4 months out (order 24XX).
Wow! Order 1,63x here. That’s a lot of knives in between. I am sure there are runs of Deadlocks in that sequence as well, but still. It is worth the wait though.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised... that is what I get for ordering 90 minutes late 😅. Good to know it is worth the wait. Love seeing all the pics, yours looks great.

Thanks. The mars valley inlay is mesmerizing to look at. This knife is a fidget monster! It is probably the most fidgety knife I’ve ever handled.

I literally cannot stop the fidgeting. My wife is getting annoyed.

Good to hear, I am looking forward to it... I am sure my wife will hate it! 🤣

Hawk Knife Designs in Idaho (father and son Grant and Gavin Hawk) simply make the best engineered knives in the world. There are several great reviews of the Talon online (e.g., Metal Complex) if you want more information on it. Mine has the dark matter polar scales, and the hollow grind on the M390 blade is phenomenal and so thin behind the edge. Random aside but Hawk is currently in litigation with Microtech due to Marfione stealing Hawk’s Deadlock auto mechanism.

Anyone get in on drop last week (full Ti and Lava Flow CF)? Shipping is expected to start early October. I got in early on the full Ti (within the first minute or so). Order 450x.

Just opened my box this morning after delivery yesterday, Some quick pics of the knife! Amazing how the inlays reflect light at different angles. View attachment 2829749View attachment 2829750View attachment 2829751View attachment 2829752View attachment 2829753
Man I didn’t know they did an orange fat carbon inlay in the past! Orange is my favorite color, I just got mine in the mail last week from the recent drop. If anyone out there is down for trading their orange inlay knife for my green one that has never been used, I will also throw $$ in as well to make it well worth your while. Thanks 🙏 IMG_3290.jpeg
