hawkbill help?

Pretty mild curve, but there's the Kershaw Talon 2:

 I meant to say Talon II. The originals are rare and expensive I'm sure. I've used my Talon II to open many a bag of mulch and cut a lot of cardboard on a cement floor and it's held up admirably. I recently picked up a ZT 0750 and I'm sure it will take everything the Talon has and then some. The 0750's are getting a little hard to find now though as I don't think many were made before they were discontinued.

Look at one of these: http://www2.knifecenter.com/item/BO...fe-Folding-Knife-3-34-inch-Blade-G-10-Handles
I bought one last year on a whim and a sale. Kinda funky looking but I was pleasantly surprised by it's solid build and F&F (fit & finish). G10 scales and Boker does a good job with the steel. Blade is sharpened on both sides, holds an edge pretty well and sharpens easily. Comes in nice magnetic closing box with lanyard and pocket friendly clip. I got it just for fun and it's quality and function surprised me. If you could get over serrations the Spyderco Matriarch is a great hawkbill type knife too.

I've seen that before :) it seems a tad bulky and not very sheeple freindly. I have been looking into the matriarch in addition to the 5.11 karambit but that isn't sheeple friendly either and I have very little training with a karambit.

I think you'll find that traditional pruners like the Case or Opinel are the closest you'll find to "sheeple-friendly." Hawkbills and sheeple generally don't mix well, as a rule of thumb. The closer a knife looks to a tooth or claw the more likely the brain stem is to, to use the technical term, "flip the hell out." :D

i knew from the git go hawkbills aren't the most sheeple friendly :) but the pruners aren't my cup of tea. The most sheeple friendly one seems to be either the case or the spyderco Tasman salt
