Hawkbill style knife more useable for most situations?

I carry a Spyderco Harpy a fair amount. It’s surprisingly good at 90% of most household tasks. Not great for food prep, but AMZ boxes don’t stand a chance! I like them for the angles they allow for digging into stuff like opening water softener pellet bags, and for lopping off suckers from trees too.

A PE HARPY!!!! I carried the serrated version for many years (still have it) but always wanted the PE version. Should have looked harder for one in Japan.

Well now I have to ask you to share a picture of the design. Sounds interesting.

Probably not too interesting visually, but here it is. The one on the right has slight negative blade angle. Might try another iteration with even more angle.

Total luck that I found a OG one.

Of note: Spyderco just released an updated Harpy with PE. It has all the visible screws holding it together instead of hammered pins, but it’s a PE!

Is there a folding knife with pocket clip out there that has a hawkbill blade and a traditional blade? Something like that would be nice working on the farm/orchard. It has to have a clip as I don't like my knives taking up real estate in the bottom of my pockets.

There are several talented people here that could make you a slip with a pocket clip so that your options wouldn't be so limited.

Was wondering the same thing, but I would want a hawkbill and a Nessmuk. Not just because they're the inverse of each other, but because of the options that gives me.

I guess I could just carry two knives.

The traditional Harvester is attached to belt loop / pocket via lanyard/chain. Maybe that works ?
