hawksbill may not be the most versatile blade shape but after using an Emerson Elvia I find them very useful on a lot of basic EDC uses

Hawkbill knives are not considered weapons in some jurisdiction since they aren’t stabbers and hence not a “dirk or dagger.”

I'm definitely a hawkbill guy. I use it for everything!! I keep my buck knife with me too, in case there's something my hawk won't cover. Hasn't happened yet, but anything ia possible.
I've tried leaving it at home, but start going thru withdrawals. I can't walk out the door without it.

I've never used a hawkbill but do have this one. Made by Kit Carson Stellite blade.
