Hawkbills for 2010? From Harpy To Superhawk

I was wanting to get a hawkbill Ladybug but was disappointed that they only come serrated.Does anyone know if there's going to be a plain edge one

Just got a Superhawk. Talk about a knife that is put together like a custom, or better than some! May have to get a spyderhawk to keep it company. This is the first hawkbill I have used. They really do cut good. I think it would be a good knife to have, if you had to be out at night.

Many of Spyderco's production blades I truly feel can compete head to head with many custom made knives

there is still no company who even comes a close second to the Great Spyder Factory in the sector of Hawkbill blades.

Spyderco's hawkbills are truly designed for hard use. I would bet that even the Ladybug could outperform many other Hawkbill "wannabees" on the open market :D

Your Superhawk was an excellent choice. I just wish that blade would have been available in Spyderedge :( But with the introduction of the awesome H-1 Spyderhawk I guess you could say that they have more than made amends for that oversight ;)

Looks like there will be a re-issue of the Matriarch in 2010!

Yeah I had also heard from two reliable sources that there is indeed going to be a plain edged version of the Matriarch coming out sometime this year.

That will immediately catapult it's way to the top of my "gotta have" list.

I'm betting that it's probably going to be VG-10 which is fine by me. But I wouldn't complain if they made the PE version in ZDP-189.

I do believe that I'm seeing significant evidence that 2010 will be a great year for Hawkbills :thumbup:
