I've been wanting to do this for quite awhile and i finally have the chance now to put the sweat into it.You folk's that have been paying 160.00 buck's for an import are in for a real treat.Hopefully i'll have some available within the next week or 2 to sell on the Fixed blade forum.

Anyway here it is,i've incorporated the long blade of a Hawk for chopping while still using the Hatchet Handle and Poll found on traditional hatchet's and made it all a mini.

This thing is a snap in hand and easy to carry tucked in your belt in the small of your back.

That's a great looking little axe Steve, make a great hunting axe. I'd like to see that head on a 20 inch straight haft ;-)))

Best regards

I second that on the 20" straight haft! So...are you saying that these can be had for around $160????

Looks great, by the way!

Matt divide 160 by 2 and add shipping and you'll be in the ball park on the cost. And a Hawk version is doable just not at the moment

I do love that style of head, real sweet. How wide is it at the eye from top to bottom? I REALLY like the idea of a wedged axe join on a thrower. ;-)

that's very nice - will it fit a carpenter's hatchet handle? (like my 28 oz vaughan?)

You gonna make me drag out a tape measure and measure that,i thought you knew i could'nt read

oh, well - that would have been convenient for replacing a broken handle, but not critical.
