Got a bit buzzed at the shop last night and decided to finally remove the swedge on my 9. Todd helped, a lot. Both in getting me buzzed and in grinding the 9.

Looks great! I really liked getting to play with Haze's 9 and the re-profiling on the blade made it a fantastic slicer. Man I'd love to come hang out with you guys in that shop..... one of these days Alice...... one of these days!

I like it. I'm going to go throw the switch on my grinder. First, some Black & Tan......

Looks good murph. I dropped the swedge on mine too. Not as much as yours, but close.

Can you please tell me why is so that some of you removed the swedge from the BK7 / BK9 ? Any special reason or... ?

i thought the swedge is the spine of the blade at the tip. It looks like he sharpened it. He did remove the thumb ramp.

The ramp usually gets removed either for how it looks, or how it feels. Other then those two I cant see another reason to do it.

I really like the way that looks. Hmmmm, I may need a niner now.

Very nice job. I think if you guys had that 3rd wine spritzer you wouldnt have had such great results. :)
