"Hazed" My 9er

you clipped & mirror polished an RD9?
or is that an actual Justin built blade?
 
I've always thought the 9's tip was a bit blunt. You've done what I've been thinking about doing for awhile. When I do it I'll post it. Looks great though.
 
Thanks for the good words guys, I'm really happy with the way it turned out. When I first got my hands on Haze's BK9 that Moose passed around I knew that I'd be modding my 9 in the same manner. Not sure if Haze was drinking when he did his though. As far as why I got rid of the swedge, 90% aesthetics, 10% function. My numbers may be off a little. I don't baton much with any knife, but when I do I find a swedge really chews up your batoning stick. Not a big deal, but the flattened clipped area should give a little more resistance to tearing up the stick.

Looks really good. Haze's bk9 was sweet and its good to see this being done again! How far did you raise the shoulder?
