i have a emerson hd-7 with a stone washed blade and was wondering if any one knows who can polish the blade??

I carn't help with some to do it .But you should have a go your self its no very hard to get a mirror finish Just take the blade out of the knive and start with 600 wet &dry
sand paper Then go to1200 paper and even go to 2000 if needed then get some metal polish if you don't have access to a buff just polish by hand.I wouldn't like to think how many Ive done this way with good results it will take a few sheets of paper and a few hours its a bit of a slow process but well worth it hope this helps

yup , take your time and do it by hand , sometimes you find the finish aint that pretty under there and may have to step it back to say 220 grit or so , but work your way thru the grits and you can get there. I did this on a black coated blade , not sure if the silver finish is as easy to remove as I haven't tried it.
Did this one years ago...wont ever do another...

the scales I did in titanium as well , then fully polished them as well as the pivot , oh and I added a Ti backspacer as well.

this was taken when I was about 1/2 way done with the blade..

dug this one up from depths on my hard drive pict archive...
fire ano was done by a friend of mine , ti scales , backspacer and other mods by me.
the blades that appear silver were black coated blades that were glass bead blasted.

i like that commander, great work, do ya still have the flamed one??

polishing is a job lol.

flamed one has long been gone sorry....

between the ti scales and the backspacer the knife had little flex at all....even Mr Emerson himself liked it.

i want that titanium back spacer! for the cqc7. how much would you charge if i asked you to make me one?

i know longer do knife mods , concentrating on making fixed blades now. Plus I don't have any more .187 ti.

Check out a guy who goes by FerrK on the different forums , I know he is making them.

There's just something about a Titanium handled Commander... especially with thick slabs!

aint that the truth ! I keep hoping EKI will do a framelock version ( like the HD7 ) of the commander. I had a Reese Weiland conversion and sure wish I had kept it.

I've got 3 Reese Weilands sitting here that I keep drooling over. I should probably send one of them off to be stonewashed.

Looks like I fibbed a little - there's only two. I must have sold the other one. Nothing fancy on these guys - just frame locked with flat Ti slabs. If I can track down my digicam I'll photograph them.

I forgot how LIGHT they were!
