My HD-7 arrived today and all I can say is... wow.

I kept hearing and reading that the knife couldn't be described until one held one, and boy, was that spot on. My other 7's suddenly don't feel 'right', if you know what I mean.

It's so light yet feels so incredibly solid and it just feels perfect in my hand.

I am smitten.

The action is very nice. Still needs to be broken in, of course, but I can tell that once it is it will be buttery smooth. :thumbup:

Locks up with a very solid 'click' and it makes an awesome sounds when Waving open.

When you run it through it's paces, let us know how it compares to other Emerson's. In the mean time I guess I need to weigh which will come first HD-7 or CQC12.

Well, I'll tell you that it's already taken over EDC duties from my Mini 7.

It's surprisingly pocket friendly but I will still consider it my big EDC knife.

I was unfortunately notified by EKI that my order for a HD7BT couldn't be filled but I was lucky enough that someone on another board let me pick theres up. I dare to say its my favorite knife. Its a toss up between it and my 710s. Still looking for one more as a back up. I like it a lot. Glad you like yours too
