Hd-7

Actually Rayster I love the 15 because you can "grip up" on the blade (ie get really close) which is precisely why I just became a big Gentleman Jim fan. I like what I'm seeing in the guard/choil of the HD, but that belly is indeed a deal breaker for me.

I see;)! I rarely use that form of grip unless I am really trying to impale something:D. I prefer more offset to the thumbramp and indexfinger choil like the El Bandito over the Gentleman Jim. I check out my friend's 15 every now and again but it does not work for me:confused:. I find my thumb on the ramp half the time I use my knife for hard downward push cuts. Perhaps that preference developed from the Specwar-A thus me loving the CQC-45 that I have.

Palm loaded is no go for me. Have developed carpul tunnel a while back when I was competing in mountainbike observed trials during the 90's. Keeps me from riding any bikes like how I use to for the past decade. Certainly changed the way I use my tools at work. No palm loaded anything with pressure for me, hurts real quick if I'm not carefull and I have dropped things from the sudden nerve pain which I hate. Handle needs to work a certain way for me or it gets no use. Thumbramp use puts the pressure towards my thumb and of my palm hence the active thumbramp use now that I have thought about it. Probably why I also love the Wave, awesome thumbramp.

Anyways, off to work with my HD7 BTS. Still not with that blade style being that I'm holding the knife close to 30ish degrees to the right to cut something straight with my thumbramp use. Just ..... Then again, I hold all my Emersons a little off kilt due to the chisel edge .... I'm a odd one.
