Hd7/cqc12

You could always get a liner-lock Emerson and have it pimped into a framelock. I've seen Phil do some great framelock conversion on CQC-8s & CQC-10s.

You can indeed, I'v just had a Persian done by STR and I'm working on a kerambit as we speak.

The cost of the original knife and the work STR did for me was actually a bit less than a Sebenza or strider so its a good option :):thumbup:
 
You should see the colour photo, my Dad always wondered where the rainbow afro came from. :eek::p
 
sebs are good knives too but arent one of my big favorites, and yes i have had a few of them lol, in fact i gave my son my tanto seb for his 18th b-day last nov., of all my knives it was his favorite, so i hung onto it for gosh i guess 5 or 6 yrs for him, but to be honest if he wouldnt have liked it/wanted it it would have been trade fodder looong ago they just dont "grab" me for some reason. great knives, great F&F, just not one of my favs and i shake my head in wonder at all the folks who think they are the bomb, and there is a few of them lol.

i like the pimped EKI's with the frame locks and such, and have seen some with such good work they loooked like they came right out of the EKI factory, and i have often considered doing that, never have though, for the kinda dollar the pimp jobs cost ya can (almost?) get a custom, and i've always liked the emerson customs, so i have gone in that direction vs the pimped productions, i have sure been tempted to do one though, several times, i once was almost stupid enough to have one of my custom '8s bolstered which would have been a mistake imho and killed its value, but i do understand how ya could get into them.

and i would still get a hinderer vs a strider, or a seb for that matter.

Smart kid :D I like to carry my tanto Seb more than the regular.
 
Just as the "voice of the dealers," :p if other dealers are all saying the 17th, it sounds like we all have a common source of information. I called recently and it has been pushed back to March 8th for CQC-12's and HD-7's.

:grumpy: If its been pushed back that far, maybe its time to call GPK and order up that strider I've been drooling over for so long. I was dead set on the HD-7 ever since I got into the emersons but if they won't cater to the market, I'll have to change my alliance to some one that does.

The emersons are some of my favorite knives, buut I neeed a frame lock and it must be in Ti (just my want/need of the month).

I don't understand why the order is pushed back so far. It's not like they are waiting for them to be manufactured...
