I can't remember HDR or Exposure Fusion:o

I wanted to share these with you guys on here that really got me interested in HDR. I am coming up with wacky pics but it is fun. I can't decide wether I like the HDR or Exposure Fusion better of the Tractor Headlight.

My apologies for not going far from home or being very creative. I hope you all might enjoy them. Especially Mike (230) who broke me out of my long time 'by the book' style. Like I said, not sure this is for the better but it is almost more fun:D:thumbup:

Very, Very COOL Kevin!!

I personally like the Exposure Fusion of the tractor headlight. The light looks like it's going to pop out of the picture.

Really enjoyed these. I love looking at (and playing with) HDR and this set was no exception. Hope to see some more :D

Edit: What camera are you using?

Thanks Grimspoon. I am hoping to have some time away from work to have the energy to walk further then the barn for pics soon :) (or maybe even drive somewhere)

I have been shooting with a D3s. The camera is much better that it's operator ;-p

Very cool. I'm liking some of the HD pics that pop up here. I may have to look into one of the HD cameras.

I prefer the HDR on the tractor headlight. I love how you can see the rust on the headlight and the bubbling of it under the paint as well as the paint imperfections. The background of the tractor itself looks like an x-ray.

Love the pics Kev, especially like the color ones!

It's fun trying new things isn't it?

You're motivating me to buy a new camera though, I'm seeing a d3 or d3s in my future and keep my d5000 as a back up!

Forager - thanks for the kind words and the x-ray look idea. I see what you mean. Cool!

Mike - My friend you have helped me enjoy photography even more so you bet new things are fun to try. I see a D3s in your future also :) Thanks again.

Make sure to sell me your d3s with a friend discount when you upgrade to a d3x :D

LMAO @ buying a D3x. I think I'm crazy for buying the D3s. Well not really, I get a lot of pleasure from shooting with nice gear. Its like shooting a nice gun or cutting with a really sharp Busse ;-). Its just feels better :)

cool pics Rich - Now show us one of uncle rattla in exposure fusion

Two more from today. I was going up towards PA with my girl and I thought it was a cool old barn. I know my favorite of the two. Thanks again for the comments.

Could someone explain the difference between HDR and Exposure Fusion? They look similar, but are distinctly different.

Thanks Mang :)

As for HDR vs. EF. I'm drunk already but I think it has to do with the software algorithms??? Both take multiple expoSures and 'merge' them. I'm not an expert on how they work. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will stop by.

Love the new set of pictures. HDR brings out drama in the skies great, you can take a dreary day and make it look amazing.
