Head Injuries and more Tics

Smoke up.

But you don't need it, you are doing the same thing all us parents do. My mom warned me about this, She said "Kid's? they'll be fine. However with you the jury is still out..."

An in-law went in to see a doctor for removal of a very large splinter. The doctor gave him a shot of lidocaine, but forgot that he had a heart murmur. My relative had a cardiac event, fell, hit his head and had serious cognitive losses afterwards.
He lost his math skills for a period of time, and forgot one of the languages he knew. He had bad headaches for months.
All skills came back in time. He is now a math teacher.

TICK REMOVAL -
spray the sucker with GUMOUT CARB. CLEANER - The tick can then be removed with tweezers.
The next step is to fry the sucker with a match and get a crispy critter!
Ticks aways release their hold when you douse them with Gumout! I would bet that Liquid Wrench would work.

Prayers

So many things I worry about with my daughter
past/present/future
concussion / anoxia / toxins / etc etc ..............

I wonder how many of us -didn't-
have some sort of brain injury before adulthood ........

As parents,
we try our best, then live with the results.
& sometimes cry for our failures,
or percieved failures,
whether in our control or not.

I sometimes wonder, in frustrated, tired moments,
_where I would be,
& _who I would be,
without the injuries I acquired in youth.

Fortunately, I'm not much attached to that 'what if'
I'm satisfied with the life I have.
Being satisfied with the way I've -used- that life
is an entirely other matter.

Thank You All For Your Kindness And Friendship!!

It means a lot.

The baby is getting better. The concussive behaviors are subsiding.

Tick Boy is remaining at home as we've decided just to watch him.

Oil also works against ticks, they let go after they're immersed in oil, just be careful not to pinch them in half with their head still burrowed in the tissue.

I hope everything turns out well for you munk.

You're in our thoughts.

There are just a few friends in distant places I usually call during my long weekend nightshift. They often apologize for backing away from the phone to deal with some issue with their little ones, but I just smile.

And sometimes, blink back a tear.

What Kis said! Do you keep paper copies of your, shall I say - longer postings...or,errr... stories? I sure hope so.
Hope the little one is on the mend. And you are well.

OH, almost forgot- Keith is improving daily. I hope soon the Missus and I will be unable to determine any difference in behavior and ability using before and after comparisons.

Why not? It's only used on one side, isn't it?

Seriously, very pleased to get the positive progress report.
Still on the list.
