Just for a quick over nighter tomorrow should be back sat evening...there expecting a low of 12 deg. Farenheit and 5-6 inches of snow... should be fun... Might do a heated bed if I feel motivated enough either way it'll be fun.. I'll try to take some pics...

Would love to know how that norse hawk performs! It's a neat one.
 
I just gave it an initial sharpening and thinned doen the edge a bit...the head is thinner than that of my axe but the handle is sig. longer.. I think the extra leverage might give it a good bite.
 
My trail hawk was like that. Thinned it a lot (actually sort of a scandi edge with a small convex secondary). It bites deeper than anything I've got, but it also sticks as much so I lost some efficiency there.

Nice man, the trail hawk has worked great for me,the norse would be a step up I think.
 
I would also be interested in how the Norse Hawk performs. I've a Rifleman's Hawk which I'm pretty happy with but I've been hearing so much about the Norse that I'm thinking of trying it myself.
