I'm taking my son and leaving for a local lake to spend five days, so I'll be out of touch after about 10AM tomorrow.

I'm taking a few knives along. A 119, 118, a custom shop 110 with a BG-42 blade, a 301 and a Buck fileting knife. I think I have most everything covered, but if I'm missing something I might need, let me know!

Oh yeah, I'm also taking a Buck tool and a Swiss Buck. Can't forget the one with the cork screw!:D

Hey Dave good luck! I have gone lake fishing three times so far this year and got a total of 78 fish so far ( mostly panfish but some BIG ones)....What are you hopeing to caught?

Enjoy the time with your son Dave. Family and good friends are the most important things in our lives! I think a lot of folks loose sight of that these days. Are the little ones coming with you on this trip?

What type of fish are in that lake? Post some photo's of the big ones when you get back.

I didn't see you mention anything about beer, Dave. Beer and streams just go together. Hmmm...that is a dual meaning if I ever saw one. ;)

Taking lot's of beer for sure.;)

From the looks of the weather forecast, that may be what we do most of the time, hang out and drink beer. It's supposed to rain tonight and Tuesday with scattered showers Wednesday and high winds Thursday. :(

Oh well, we're going anyway.

I'm not taking a boat so the fishing was going to be just a way to kill time for the most part. We'll find a nice spot for the lawn chairs, the beer cooler and hope that the fish don't interrupt our conversations or naps too much.:D

Thanks all!

wow dave should have said some thing sooner
could have sent you a jar of apple jack!
you have a good time decompressing!
c u later!

Thanks dave, but it's probably just as well. I'm not sure I'm man enough for that stuff.

Oh, and I just stuck a 307 in my pocket just in case I don't have everything covered with the other's.

Well, my son forgot some meds, so we had to run back to the house. I just thought I'd drop in. Fished a little yesterday for nada. Raining cats and dogs out there right now. It's still relaxing just listening to the rain on the roof.
